How to Backup Configuration Mikrotik

For those of you who have Mikrotik Router devices be it at home, school, cafe, office and others, you should save the backup configuration of the Mikrotik. So if there is a problem for example you try setting configuration and ending not normal and forget to restore to original configuration, or because other cause cause configuration lost or change, you just do restore and then device will work normal again according to original configuration.



How to Backup Configuration Mikrotik 

• Login to Mikrotik

• Select File Menu

• Click on Backup , then the system will generate / generate Backup files

Until the above stage, if there is a problem with the configuration we live select the backup file and then click on Restore then the configuration will return to normal conditions as when we make a backup. 

Then we should backup the file we copykan or save elsewhere, to the computer, flash, etc., to anticipate in case of damage to the hardware Mikrotiknya such as lightning etc.. 

How to copy backup files to other places / locations: 

• Select / highlight the backup file 
Then click on the copy icon 

• Then open Windows explorer, select the desired drive and / or folder, then click paste (or right click, select paste).
