There are many alternatives to running Android on your computer / laptop, there is an Android emulator, there is Android-x86, Android on Intel Architecture, and the easiest in my opinion is using the BlueStacks app.
With BlueStacks applications that can be installed on a Windows or Mac OSX computer, you can easily run your favorite Android apps. The apps you want to install live in search in the Play Store, then download and install the same as when you're using a regular Android device, tablet computer or smartphone.

To install BlueStacks:
1. Open www.bluestack.com address from your computer browser
2. Select the appropriate Download your computer OS (because I use Windows I choose BlueStacks for Windows)
3. Run the installer file to start the installation process (installation online), this process will take a while and depends on the speed of internet connection.
4. Installation wizard is easy to follow, stay Next next course.
5. In the last step you are asked to enter a google account in order to download the application, just as in the android device in general.
