Smartphones and tablet computers currently in circulation whether using Android OS or iOS have the capability as a basic seismometer. A seismometer is a device used to determine changes in ground surface vibrations, which are usually associated with earthquakes.
If you have an Android smartphone or iPhone and want an application to detect earthquakes, just install the application that is Seismograph .
For tablet computers and Android smartphones, go to Play Store then do an app search with Seismograp keywords h

I chose the Seismograph from Atrius, for you it is up to choose which one can try the application from the other.
Just click Install to start the process of downloading and installing Seismograph app on your smartphone or tablet computer.
Once installed run the application,
To try / test the seismograph is working, move / shake the Smartphone, then you will see the changes on the graph.
