To enter Safe Mode in Windows is to repeatedly press the F8 key as soon as the computer starts up before loading Windows. However, for Windows 8 the F8 function to log on to Safemode is by default not enabled, so for a computer that has not enabled this Startup setting even though you pressed the F8 key immediately after the computer start, you will not be able to enter the menu to select safe mode.
To activate the F8 key function in order to enter safe mode:
• Log in to Command Prompt as Administrator
(Click Start , then in the Search field , type cmd , then press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER simultaneously)
• After the command prompt screen opens then type:
Bcdedit / set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes
